Week 13 Faux SRX Series

 Our Team has added the following clarifications to the announced race series:

First off, this is strictly for FUN!! There will be rubbing and bumping, this is grass roots home grown racing!! Please leave your ego under your pillow before you join!

The six tracks to be raced already listed.

Race procedures are as follows:

1. Practice - twenty minutes

2. Qualify - five minutes

3. Heat 1 - five minutes/six laps no yellows

4. Heat 2 - five minutes/six laps no yellows

5. Feature Race -  one hundred laps for pavement tracks, 75 laps dirt tracks top six inverted at start.

Starts for all feature races will be on the green flap, not the pole driver.

Yellows will be on, lucky dog and wave arounds.

Black flags will not be corrected, pit speeds are very slow at these tracks.

Fuel - you will have to add fuel to make the total distance on paved tracks. Dirt tracks enough fuel for whole race. (Iracing has it so you cannot add fuel or tires on dirt tracks).

Quick repairs - total of three.

Incs - drive through every fifteen.

Race dates and times. There will be one race every day. First race is Sept 5th. Every race starts at 1 pm Eastern. On the day of the iRacing update the race will be pushed to 2 pm Eastern.

GT Endurance VRS Series - Suzuka International Racing Course - Grand Prix

 This week, Team Depends was anchored by Eugene Clark and Jerry Kerr.  They took the team Ferrari to a 16th place finish in a field of 43 teams.

After last weeks disaster which ended in a DQ, the team was looking for a much better race.  Starting in 39th trying to stay out of the first lap incidents our car was hit in the right rear and turned around before reaching the start line.  Steering was effected but Gene was able to make it to the pits.  The result was a 7 minute repair and took us into last place.  

Able to avoid any further major incidents, we steadily made our way into the top 20 and eventually into the 16th place. 

Overall a very good day for Team Depends.

GT Endurance VRS Series at Hungaroring

Todays race started out with a Bang - on the second lap at the chicane Jerry pushed a car which tried to pass at the entry and damaged the right rear of the car and had to pit.  Resulting in over 22 minutes total pit time.  Left the pits with 12 incidents and as you can see below that was not the end of the incidents.  However Eugene persevered and kept us in the hunt for a top 20 finish until near the end when an over anxious driver hit Eugene and caused our DQ with less than 16 minutes left in the 3 hour race.  We still finished 24th out of 35 Teams.

We need some help with more drivers to share this agony!!
